Job Description

Oracle Database:

Writing and maintaining applications

Working with Server Architects to establish database requirements (SGA, PGA, UGA)

Validate/confirm Vendor specified recommendations

Work with Application Owners throughout SDLC

Work closely with System DBA’s for system performance issues

Work with QA/Dev teams for Database performance validation/sign-off

Coordinate and validate Change requests, version updates, etc.

Creation and maintenance of schema objects: tables, indexes, views, sequences etc.

Standard data management\\steward tasks:

Copying data between tables.

              Loading small to medium sets of data into the database (table and schema level).

Customer DML (Data Manipulation Language)

SQL code optimization (using tools such as Explain Plan, TKProf etc.).

Helping users write and optimize SQL.

AWR, ADDM and ASH Reports as needed to troubleshoot issues.

Respond to Application/Database issues

Available on-call for customer-facing application issues

Work with Application Owners/Vendors and System DBA’s to identify underlying issues/work through resolution

Desired Experience:

10+ years Oracle experience

Advanced troubleshooting (JVM, memory utilization, etc.)

Architectural design and implementation

5+ years Agile Development experience

Strong background working with API’s and Cloud-based solutions
