Job Description

One of the immediate priorities for the position will be to help grow our Big Data strategy, platform and capability within the organization to support advanced analytics, reporting, operational data storage and master data management, as required.
The position will partner with Enterprise Data Delivery, Data Governance and Reporting and Analytics functions across the organization to help provide seamless and integrated coverage for Enterprise Data Management.
The role includes oversight of:
• Data Architecture Strategy
• Enterprise Data Modelling
• Data Development (Big Data, ODS, MDM and Warehouse)
• Enterprise Data Integration Strategy (Operational and Analytical)
• Data Quality Strategy

The role is highly visible in both technology and business and supports the key objectives of the executive management group to manage, maintain and leverage our data assets more effectively. Ideal candidates will have a strong strategy background in data architecture and strategy with the capability to drive this strategy through to delivery. Candidates should have broad experience and understanding data architecture principles, data modelling, data warehousing, Big Data and data integration patterns. Understanding and articulating the importance of data governance and data quality management is a must. In addition, knowledge of the business of banking and the key data that drives banking organizations is a great advantage.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading data architecture, strategy and data-related projects and initiatives
• Strong experience of data architecture/modeling, data integration, data warehousing and data quality management
• Ability to lead and mentor teams with data architecture and delivery capabilities
• Ability to define strategy and tactical execution and build consensus and buy-in across business and technical teams
• Database design, implementation
• Data warehouse design, implementation
• Big Data strategy and implementation
• Ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple concurrent initiatives with related or independent goals
• Ability to think strategically at an enterprise level
• Ability to influence executive/senior-level colleagues
• College degree in related field of study or equivalent experience
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong business-facing relationship skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior financial services or banking experience
• Business Intelligence and Data Analytics experience
• Banking industry/regulatory/management reporting

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
