Job Description

Works with the Functional/Business Analysts in gathering the requirements, writing system specifications, translating user requirements to technical specifications and develop/Enhance ETL Processes. Develops PL/SQL packages and procedures as new/enhance/support the processes. Provides expertise in Detailed and problem solving oriented in DataStage jobs and addressing production issues such as performance tuning and enhancement. Develops ETL processes in the support of data warehouses using IBM DataStage. Provides expertise on different databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 LUW and z/OS to extract/load the data. Monitors ETL jobs in Production environment on any failures and will also work on runtime performance of the existing jobs. Analyzes/reviews the newly developed or enhanced jobs and will provide signoff for the code to be moved to other environments. Provides documentation to maintain the list of jobs for future notes/issues.
