Job Description

The Senior Economist will work with FHN Financial senior management and the Chief Economist with a focus on providing economic analysis to First Horizon Bank. The goal is to deliver concise economic summaries plus proprietary analysis to the bank’s corporate calling officers and customers.   

  • Work with First Horizon Bank corporate relationship managers to provided targeted communication, regional economic information and industry analysis to add to the value those relationship managers can use with their customers.  
    • Meet with loan officers, bank managers, and bank customers to help answer their questions and build the FHN Financial brand
    • Provide regional and industry-specific forecasts consistent with FHN Financial macro view
  • The Senior Economist’s forecasting work should fit into the framework of the macro economic forecast
    • Write-ups of regional and industry-specific forecasts/outlooks could be published in the Economic Weekly.
    • The Senior Economist would have opportunities to discuss the macro outlook with the press
  • The position will require extensive travel, generally in the Southeastern United States.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have an economics degree and at least two years’ experience in economics.
