First Horizon has an opportunity for a Vice-President level candidate on our Fintech Strategy team.

The Fintech Strategy Analyst provides ongoing support for the Fintech group with the Business Transformation Function. Key areas of support include monitoring performance metrics of key units (VirtualBank, Ruby, Canapi, etc.), creating and presenting analysis relevant to the area, and monitoring and assessing fintech initiatives for expansion, relationship deepening, enterprise implementation, and/or potential investment. This role will regularly interact with senior and executive management at First Horizon as well as with senior leaders of key fintech partners.

Some travel will be required for relevant meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

50% - Monitor portfolio and strategy performance on a regular basis. Develop regular presentations of data for results and opportunities within the units of the fintech portfolio. Maintain measurement monitoring of operational and financial performance metrics with the portfolio and with associated products, services, and initiatives.  

25% - Monitor industry and marketplace trends including competitor product changes, market pricing changes, product functionality changes, and opportunities to expand FHN capabilities through fintech partnerships, investments, and implementations.

10% - Participate in strategic discussions to assess and select potential actions to expand FHN capabilities through fintech initiatives and work with internal partners to implement and drive organizational changes.                                                                                                             

15% - Perform ad hoc analysis and research  

Education Requirements:                                                                                                      

  • This position requires a Bachelors Degree with Masters Degree preferred.
  • Four to Six years of Analytics and/or finance background with strategy experience
  • Six to eight years of heavy work in strategic thinking and building alternative strategic models


Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills.  Proficient with applicable computer software.  Good written and oral communication skills.  Good organizational skills.  Experience with various data analytics tools that may include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, R, Python, and other similar tools. High level of comfort with Microsoft PowerPoint is required; experience with other presentation tools is beneficial.   

Work Hours: Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
