Job Description

Essential Function

50%
Guards property against damage, fire, theft, trespassing and illegal entry. Makes routine tours about buildings and grounds, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are properly secured. Report suspicious activity/broken or malfunctioning equipment/ or any unusual activity in adherence with post orders.  Assist in planning and coordination of security for special events. Report any guard issues to your immediate supervisor as required

15%
Provide oversight to contract security and ensure all post are periodically checked and are in adherence with post orders.


10%
Ensures identification of employees or visitors by fingerprinting, photographing, interviewing and preparing badges.

5%
May serve as liaison with police on mutual problems.  Perform other duties as assigned. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTIC

Must be reliable, mature, and alert
Demonstrated experience in corporate environment
Ability to remain calm and advise others in crisis situations
Ability to react to a crisis situation in accordance with Corporate Security guidelines without direct supervision
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of security procedures
Effective interpersonal skills

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma and law enforcement, military or security-related experience. 

Current State of TN Armed Security Guard License

Preferred Qualifications: 2-5 years’ experience in the military, law enforcement or industrial security industry.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
