Job Description

The Mortgage Residential Closing Coordinator is responsible for reviewing mortgage loan packages to ensure completeness. They will also prepare and ship completed packets to investor within defined timeframes and per guidelines.

Additionally they will scan documents for electronic storage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.            Reviews, prepares and ships loan packets, via mail or electronic means, to investors adhering to defined guidelines within the required timeframe.

2.            Meets production expectations pertaining to number of files processed/shipped per day.

3.            Retrieves reports from the various investor websites identifying outstanding issues. Resolves/responds to exception requests. Works with loan officer and/or loan operations to collect or correct documents in a timely manner.

4.            Submits loans to FHA, VA or USDA for insurance purposes. Updates information in MERS.

5.            Completes, passes and maintains an up to date status for all positional and company required compliance and regulatory courses by assigned due date(s).

6.            Participates in special projects and assignments and performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•               High School diploma or equivalent with one year of general office experience preferably in Residential Mortgage or Title Company or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•               General knowledge of residential loan operations, systems and documentation preferred.

•               Ability to read and listen, understand and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing to customers and business partners.

•               Ability to comprehend and perform basic accounting principles and math calculations.

•               Must be able to effectively multi-task, handle numerous loan files at one time and meet regimented deadlines.

•               Ability to learn software applications and strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system & Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.

•               Ability to read and listen, understand and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing with, business unit management and staff.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

CONTROL RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES: Become knowledgeable regarding the department's internal controls as outlined in the policies and procedures and comply with all control requirements.

COMPLIANCE: Ability to comprehend and adhere to Federal and State banking regulations, including compliance with the Bank's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering (BSA/AML) program. Follows all Company policies and procedures, and successfully participates in regulatory and Company training requirements via multiple and variable delivery methods.
