Job Description

The Private Banker Senior position is responsible for maintaining and growing revenue for the company's Private Client Services Division in Charleston, SC, by serving as the primary point of contact for wealthy and high net worth families in the region. This position will also manage and increase relationships with clients throughout their wealth cycle, providing appropriate financial advice.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and coordinating strong internal partnership arrangements with Wealth Management (First Horizon Advisors), Lending Specialists, Financial Planning, Trust Services, Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, and Retail Banking.
  • Ensuring that the Relationship Management policies and procedures of First Horizon Private Client Services are followed appropriately.
  • Recommending approval/decline on credit opportunities and follows established lending procedures and performs adequate credit analysis.
  • Providing financial advice and guidance to clients pertaining to their particular current and future financial needs.
  • Managing and delegating assignments to specialists.
  • Completing appropriate ongoing training, and accepts Leader’s guidance and evaluations of performance.

Experience Required:

  • 6-8 years’ experience required; 8-10 years’ experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent in work experience) for consideration; Masters preferred.
  • Securities licenses required: 6, 7, 66 and life and health

Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills.  Proficient with applicable computer software.  Good written and oral communication skills.  Good organizational and customer service skills.  Excellent consultative sales and cross-selling skills.

Representation of the LOB in after-hours client events is also an expectation of the core relationship management team of the Line of Business.
