Role Summary:
Visual designers work collaboratively in small, agile, multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges and craft compelling, intuitive, and innovative user-centered experiences across First Horizon’s omni-channel experiences. You will be involved in every step of the process of designing First Horizon’s products — researching the best possible solutions, creating user flows and wireframes, designing mockups and pixel-perfect screens, and prototyping experiences. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. Ultimately, you will create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.

• Owns design projects (think platforms, new mobile apps, admin tools, and other high impact
• Collaborates with agile teams to ensure designs are feasible to implement and subsequently implemented accurately
• Advocates for user-centered, simple, modern design
• Develops concepts sketches and storyboards, detailed integration designs and screen flows, functional specifications and prototypes to clearly articulate solutions and guide agile teams
• Develops visual designs and ensures that the solutions in developments aligns to company and brand standards
• Conducts concept and usability testing to iteratively validate and improve solution design
• Contributes to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the team
• Compiles research, create user flows, wireframe solutions, and design pixel-perfect screens
• Performs additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Degree in interactive design or related field is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of visual design experience producing engaging, usable, and effective design solutions using user-centric principles required
• Experience designing responsive web and/or mobile apps
• Visual design/Graphic design experience
• A solid design background with an obsessive eye for interaction and visual details
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability toward the products you create (e.g. Not afraid to speak up to ensure user angle is heard)
• Strong start-up or small company background
• Proficiency with wireframe and visual design tools (e.g. Sketch, InVision, OmniGraffle, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Ability to clearly articulate your design decisions
• Is able to produce high quality creative output under quick turnaround times and strict deadlines
• Is open to learning new ideas outside scope
