Job Description

Provides a full range of banking services to a wide variety of business relationships to build long-term and profitable customer relationships in order to maximize portfolio revenue growth and asset quality.  Focuses on companies with annual sales of $30 million to $250 million in the Knoxville market and surrounding counties. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

25% - Meets with current and potential customers to develop a relationship whereby the RM is seen as a key business partner in pursuing common business objectives; Uses active listening skills and probing techniques to surface opportunities; Responds to unexpected customer requests with sense of urgency and positive action; Demonstrates understanding with all aspects of sales cycle from inception to closing; Develops and nurtures personal relationships with key decision makers.25% - Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of customer's business from top to bottom.  Emphasizes different product features to different customers as appropriate to their needs.  Considers all variables of potential alteranatives in creating appropriate solutions for customers.  Develops presentations and proposals that reflect customers' goals and strategies.  Documents customer account records and associated profile and financial information.  Investigates and studies the customer's business for insights into current initiatives and goals.25% - Locates and researches potential new clients.  Develops new business relationships through calling on targeted potential clients.  Uncovers prospect's needs for commercial products and services and recommends solutions.  Identifies the critical goals and tasks required to meet objectives. 25% - Analyzes how credit decisions impact the customer and the company; Explains the rationale and methodology for determining an acceptable level of risk to clients; Keeps abreast of market changes and communicates the implications internally with the management team and externally with the client; Collaborates with the Portfolio Manager, Credit Analyst and Client Specialist to identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations and needs; Appropriately involves others (Treasury Management, Team Leader, Credit Risk Manager, etc) in the management of client relationships.

Job Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelors Required; Masters Preferred
  • 4-6 years Experience Required; Business Degree w/ 12 hours of accounting
  • Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities/ Training/ Systems:
  • Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills
  • Proficient with applicable computer software
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational and customer service skills
  • Lending and/or sales experience necessary
  • Relevant certifications

Work Schedule:

Monday thru -Friday from  8am to 5pm
