Credit Consultant
Full Time

The Credit Consultant is responsible for providing mapping support for the Data Structuring team of CORE (Credit and Operational Reporting Excellence). This role will consult with Line of Business, Enterprise Technology, and Systems SMEs to identify the correct system of record for data needs for Credit and Operational Reporting. Additionally, the Credit Consultant will apply data mining techniques to identify data quality concerns and test completeness and accuracy of data.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and Draft Business Requirements and complete Data Mapping Documents for data solutions and updates to data environments for Credit Risk and Operational data. (30%)
• Research new data sources and fields for use in credit risk and operational reporting with line of business subject matter experts and data system owners. (30%)
• Loan Systems Data and Credit Data Repository Subject Matter Expert and Resource for Credit Risk Department (20%)
• Ad hoc analysis and data mining projects to uncover trends and drivers of data quality issues. (20%)

Requirements Requirements/Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience required; Master’s degree preferred
• 2 to 4 years of Financial Institution or Data Mining/Management experience required; 4 to 6 years preferred

Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills.
Proficient with applicable computer software.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good organizational and customer service skills.
Experience in data mining necessary.
SAS or SQL Preferred.
