Job Description

With limited direct supervision, the Credit Consultant provides support to the Commercial Credit Executives to deliver agreed upon business objectives.  Analyzes those objectives, translates them into requirements, and drives initiatives to support these processes.  Position will also include the responsibilities as the Field Exam Coordinator, working with Business Credit line teams and Field Exam Manager. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Consultation and Analysis

  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of processes and procedures that cross multiple LOBs and functions. Ultimately will require an in-depth understanding of multiple business unit’s processes and implications on other groups.
  • Assist in managing projects and direct activities of a project team related to initiatives to improve processes and efficiencies within the LOBs and credit functions.
  • Looks at the broadest possible view of an issue
  • Uses analytical skills to streamline business processes
  • Understands and applies limitations and unique advantages of existing enterprise capabilities
  • Actively listens and interprets requirements, specifications to develop basic functional designs and identify potential issues and shortfalls
  • Develops solutions to business problems or new business requirements
  • Participates in special projects and assignments and performs other duties as assigned.

Execution

  • Develop reporting as needed, including but not limited to, preparation of ad hoc reports, creation of asset quality or portfolio management tracking reports, etc. 
  • Drives project progress and performs tracking/monitoring/reporting on project activity.
  • Manages multiple initiatives effectively
  • Interfaces with technical and non-technical contributors to ensure that deliverables accurately meet business line’s goals
  • Meeting coordinator for various credit committees to include minute taking
  • Provides support to the Commercial Credit Executives and their direct reports as needed.

Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Advanced expertise of Microsoft Excel to include (or aptitude to include) pivot tables/charts, advanced formatting with pivot tables, complex formulas, v-lookups, etc.
  • Awareness of regulatory environment and implications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial institution or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
