Job Description

The Digital Strategy Team Risk Consultant plans and coordinates the operational activities of the First Horizon Digital Channels team in order to guarantee risk identification and reporting and compliance with governmental regulations and ordinances around online banking, mobile banking, and eCommerce. This role works both independently and with a dedicated team.

This position may reside in either Memphis, TN or Raleigh, NC. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the end-to-end digital risk from risk identification to reporting and monitoring
  • Provide risk subject matter expertise and build digital risk management awareness
  • Lead the effort to develop processes to understand the flow and ensure incomplete sentence
  • Lead the effort to identify issues, evaluate known issues and identifying root causes through end-to-end process evaluations
  • Communicates and escalates issues and status in a professional manner
  • Maintains rapport with Risk Management and Corporate Compliance teams by arranging continuing contacts and resolving concerns
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Ensures all policies and procedures are implemented and well documented
  • Performs internal business unit reviews
  • Leads the effort to operationalize checks and balances in our transactions
  • Prepares risk governance reports and participates in  risk committees
  • Performs regular testing on systems and projects for compliance, regulatory, or risk concerns

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • 2 + years recent compliance-related experience.
  • Familiar with financial systems, online and mobile banking and eCommerce.
  • Exceptional problem solving and communication (spoken and written) skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, efficient and self starter.
  • Must be able to function independently; take directed as needed, and guide peers that are not direct reports.

Work Hours: Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
