Job Description

Position Overview
Identify customers which may pose a higher risk to the bank and make the determination as to whether or not it is an acceptable risk in order to retain the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs various duties associated with BSA Compliance specifically relating to the identification of money laundering & terrorist financing risks. Daily duties include identifying risk using risk scoring processes and collecting information in order to analyze the risk associated with a specific customer.
• Follow the documented management escalation procedures when risks identified may pose issues/concerns for the bank.
• Perform BSA compliance research as necessary to support business line management.
• Assist in other activities and duties as required to develop, implement, monitor, and control aspects of BSA compliance at the company.
Requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• One (1) year experience in branch management, platform, BSA/AML, fraud, loss prevention, or corporate security + Bachelor's degree may substitute experience
• Experience with case management systems, databases and similar automation

Preferable Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred)
• Previous BSA/AML experience, preferably in EDD or KYC/CDD

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Training/Systems
• Basic understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act and the functions and procedures involved for compliance with the Regulation.
• Excellent research, written and oral communication skills and the ability to analyze information.
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents and government regulations and work well under pressure and meet regulatory reporting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal direct supervision.
• Good organizational and customer service skills.
• Proficient with applicable computer software.
• Work experience in banking and/or Compliance preferred.
