Job Description

General Description:
As a member of the Wholesale Specialty Team, this Sr. Technical Analyst will focus on system development and integration. The team will be made up of technology developers, designers, documentation specialists, product developers and others, all working together to complete subsets of development all turned to production on a regular quarterly schedule.

This position reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Provide project management, development process management and coordination. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Requirements Familiar with the following technologies:

Programming Skills & Languages
• Knowledge of Distributed Systems and Development
• Knowledge of Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of .NET and/or Java Programming
• Knowledge of Shell scripting in KSH, CSH, BASH and/or Windows Batch
• Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows OS

Relational Databases
• Experience in at least one of the following: Oracle, DB2, MSSQL Server
• Knowledge of SQL and DB connectivity and usage from command line, script, and/or a programming language using ODBC and/or JDBC

Miscellaneous
• Understanding of IP network communications pertaining to network applications
• Good documentation skills
• Experienced with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycles, Agile/Scrum methodologies a plus)
• Experienced with Project Management Office / Project Management duties
• Experienced solving complex problems
• Trouble shooting web based applications and client / server technologies
• Knowledge of load testing and defect tracking tools
• Understanding of Financial Applications
• Experience with technical writing
• Understanding of coding and design principles (process flows, class diagrams, swim lanes, DB schemas, E/R Diagrams, UML, etc.)
• Understanding of Continuous Integration Products and their usage
• Understanding of source control such as TFS and/or SVN
• Understanding of Web Services
• Understanding of file processing and the ability to define requirements and write code to manipulate files for various system integrations
• Understanding of web applications and hosting

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5 to 8 years of directly related experience
Master’s degree a plus
Financial Applications a plus
