Job Description

The Facilities Engineer will provide assistance in the overall maintenance of buildings, completing work orders and ensuring building operations are efficient and effective.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Operation and preventive maintenance of HVAC (including chiller water and steam boiler) and building systems and computer support systems including building automation systems, ensures all building systems are functioning properly to meet the needs of our tenants.
• Interface with department Managers and employees about Maintenance request thru our automated work order system. Ability to productively work unsupervised
• Repairs complex and simple equipment, including automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, chillers, boilers, water circulation pumps, communication systems and alarms. Installs equipment under direction of supervisor. Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs defective parts. Strong HVAC skills are a plus.
Requirements Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required for consideration.
• At least 1-2 years of HVACR experience required; 2-4 years of building maintenance experience preferred or the equivalent in education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Training/Systems
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with applicable computer software.
• Good organizational and customer service skills.
• Building automation and HVACR experience preferred, First Class Steam and First Class Refrigeration licenses preferred.
• Valid driver’s license

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
7:00am – 4:00pm

PLEASE NOTE: The individual will be expected to work within a scheduled work routine (preventive maintenance), but also be flexible to provide emergency services, including scheduled and non-scheduled overtime. Some brief travel may also be required.
