Job Description

This position is responsible for maintaining the FHN Financial database platform.  The candidate should possess a professional level understanding and familiarity with T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server from SQL 2008R2 to SQL 2016.  The candidate should have the ability to carry out all SQL Server management functions including but not limited to SQL Server disaster recovery, T-SQL development, creating SQL Server Integration Services packages and troubleshooting both T-SQL and SQL Server.  Additional responsibilities of the position include all activities related to daily administration of SQL Servers, SQL Agent jobs, performance monitoring/tuning, database design, data loading and developing reports using SQL Reporting Services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience administering multiple Microsoft SQL Servers and T-SQL programming.
  • Experience developing configurable SQL Server Integration Services packages that provide notification and diagnostic information when errors occur.  Experience troubleshooting SQL Server Integration Services packages.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting SQL Server Reporting Services reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems that occur in automated SQL Server based processes that include multiple SQL Server technologies to complete the task. 
  • Ability to learn and engage new SQL Server technologies to address business needs when appropriate.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete them within the requested deadline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Experience with SQL Server Broker Services, SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Replication.
  • Some C# or VB.Net programming experience for developing SQL Server Integration Services Script Tasks/Components and SQLCLR objects.
  • Some experience with PowerShell and writing PowerShell scripts.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server’s security model and data encryption capabilities.
