Job Description

FTN Financial Portfolio Advisors, the leading fee-based provider of investment management services to depository institutions, is seeking a Business Development Manager to build our market position and grow our client base.  This person creates a marketing plan, identifies and develops prospects, makes compelling presentations and closes new business relationships.  This person is also responsible for maintaining our website, coordinating advertising and maintaining an extensive knowledge of competitors and current market conditions. 

Prospect visits are an important responsibility of this position, therefore frequent travel is required.

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in sales or marketing
  • Familiarity with depository institutions (banks, credit unions); a working knowledge of fixed income investments is strongly preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics or other business-related discipline
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills
  •  A professional demeanor and ability to make persuasive presentations
  • Ability to work with the internal team and other managers to increase sales opportunities
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
