Fixed income/Annuity Product Consultant

The Consultant is responsible for taking inquiries and processing trades from the sales force on all fixed income securities. This position also provides education and insight to the sales force for multiple product lines, including Structured Products, CDs, UITs, and all Annuity products. The work environment can be fast-paced and involving many regulatory components and trade deadlines. Along with developing good rapport with the sales force, understanding and explaining various product offerings is key. The Consultant has a significant impact in facilitating the fixed income and driving overall business as well as the operational excellence of the organization.

In support of the sales force, the Consultant is responsible for security information, pricing, and trade execution in a timely manner and will assist in all aspects of regulatory reporting requirements. Utilization of Bloomberg as well as other information providers will be required. Relationships with the trading desks of other firms will be of the utmost importance. Excellent communication skills are a requirement of this position. Researching and resolving product inquiries for registered representatives and their customers are important components of this position.

The Consultant must be able to work independently and without direct supervision, prioritize tasks and time, be flexible and able to adapt to change, maintain a professional image, and work well under pressure.

Requirements o College graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or the equivalent in education and work experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of the securities business

o FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations required

o Familiarity with FBSI, TMC, and Wealthscape a plus.

o Excellent oral and written communications skills
