Job Description

FTN Financial Operations is seeking an individual to work in the back office operations area. This person will be responsible for opening and maintaining customer account files. In addition, this person will work closely with sales and compliance to ensure the customer accounts opened and maintained within compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing of customer accounts across multiple systems
• Process incoming account documentation and review for completeness and accuracy
• Perform compliance and regulatory review prior to opening the customer account
• Prepare documents and correspondence for customers requesting additional information from the customer
• Communicate with sales reps and sales assistants regarding account set-up status and required documentation.
• Communicate with BSA/AML Compliance area regarding account set-up and approvals.
• Process and files communication with customers
• Create and maintain customer files
Requirements Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and establish priorities
• Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously and respond quickly
• Highly organized, with absolute attention to detail
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Excellent follow-through and communication to team members regarding status of open items
• Ability to recommend procedures and reporting to improve the effectiveness of the team
• Client-first attitude
• Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
 Strong technological skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
 Previous financial services or operational experience a plus, but not required
 College degree strongly preferred
 FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam and/or FINRA Series 7/Series 99 Exams preferred. If these designations are not currently held, they would be expected within 180 days of hire.
