Job Description

This position is responsible for working with a variety of loan data in an Excel
spreadsheet or a Text file received from other financial institutions for analysis or a
loan sale. In this role, the person will be the first responsible for reviewing the loan
data for content and accuracy before the file is processed through a series of steps. If
the loan data is inadequate and as needed, contact with a representative of the
financial institution may be necessary to discuss or clarify unresolved data issues such
as missing fields or requesting code definitions. Depending on the size of the financial
institution, the contact could be anyone from the chief executive officer to a loan
operations employee.

After determining there is enough loan data to proceed, the loan file is run through a
series of processes including the check‐in, data mapping, running reports and labeling
fields for the next step in the conversion process.

As a Loan Data Conversion Analyst, this person will interact with other employees
responsible for the conversion process and with employees in the operations, analysis
and trading areas. Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:


  •  Communicate with Financial Institution representative by phone and email to discuss loan data issues and verify the quality of the data
  •  Check‐in files received from Financial Institutions
  •  Identify and resolve loan data issues
  •  Work with multiple software applications for converting Financial Institutions loan data
  •  Retrieve and re‐shelve physical files used in the conversion process
  •  Assist employees in the trading, analytical and operation areas with system and loan data issues


  •  College experience is a plus but not required for this position
  •  Experience using Microsoft Excel
  •  Experience or knowledge of mortgage, consumer or commercial loan terms and products a plus
  •  Ability to work independently without direct supervision and to meet deadlines
  •  Demonstrate the ability to maintain organization skills while multi‐tasking
  •  Excellent computer skills working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
