Job Description

This internship will be part of First Tennessee's TREASURY & FUNDS MGMTgroup.

Position is located in Memphis, TN.

This Internship will provide:

Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on Monday, June 3, 2019 and runs through Friday, August 2, 2019.

Intern Objective:
To provide an overview of day-to-day responsibilities in treasury and funds management. To gain an understanding of loan documentation and the underwriting process. To learn the fundamentals of asset liability and liquidity management.
Value for the Intern:  
Overview of daily operations in treasury and funds management
Learn about loan originations and loan documentation

The intern will complete the first objective by observing daily operations and documenting procedures.
The second objective will be completed by reviewing unpledged loans. Training will be provided by loan operations on screening loans and reviewing loan documentation. Training will also be provided on navigating the ARX system. There are two loan portfolios that need review.

Job Description:
Create and update existing funds management procedures by shadowing employees and documenting current processes. Procedures include public fund pledging, Fed balance monitoring, securities transfers, and wholesale funding.
Review loan documentation for FHLB eligibility
Learn the fundamentals of asset liability and liquidity management

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Average 40 hours per week.

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance, Accounting or similar business degree
Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills
Proficient with applicable computer software
Good written and oral communication skills
Good organizational and customer service skills
