Job Description

Perform a variety of financial and clerical duties in accounting necessary to ensure accurate mortgage accounting records essential to producing accurate financial statements. Duties include performing a variety of routine clerical and bookkeeping/accounting work, such as preparing and posting entries to general ledger accounts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Balancing of various daily transactions processed by branches and departments and resolve exceptions timely and accurately
• Prepare and post various accounting entries to appropriate general ledger and/or accounts required to perform daily accounting duties
• Balancing of various general ledgers accounts with subsidiary records and resolving exceptions timely and accurately
• Perform research requested by management, auditors, customers and/or other employees timely and accurately
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned timely and accurately


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.


COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
1. Microsoft Office suite
2. Special software: Calculator, copy machine, facsimile machine, telephone, type at least 40wpm,  Encompass 360 Loan Operating System, and other support systems.
