The Portfolio Manager is an integral member of a “deal team” who proactively manages an existing portfolio of commercial credit relationships by monitoring the performance of the customers’ operations and financial covenant results, identifies credit risk trends at the customer and portfolio level, and notifies management of any changes. As part of the deal team, the Portfolio Manager partners with the Relationship Manager to grow and develop the portfolio with high quality, profitable credit relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To achieve these two goals, the Portfolio Manager’s job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare and present credit approval packages to senior management and credit partners

• Independently prioritizes credit requests, renewals and reviews

• Provide initial risk rating, recommend appropriate credit structure, and provide guidance based on bank policies

• Participate in the documentation process including terms/structure negotiations with customer

• Coordinate closing and booking events with external and internal partners

• Attend customer meetings to discuss ongoing operations as well as any current credit proposal
Requirements Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 6+ years of commercial credit experience required or equivalent

• Possess sound understanding of current business environment

• Superior commercial credit knowledge

• Strong relationship building skills

• Ability to take initiative using strong problem solving skills

• Goal and production oriented
