Relationship Manager - Healthcare Sponsor Finance

Location: 211 Franklin, Brentwood, TN

Monday - Friday

A Relationship Manager in the Healthcare Sponsor Finance team will have a strong focus on new business development and will build and manage a portfolio of Private Equity clients. The Relationship Manager leads in the achievement of the Healthcare Sponsor Finance’s goals through day-to-day relationship management of healthcare clients as the primary contact and participating in the retention, amendment, and renewal process of existing accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• In addition to being the primary bank advocate and key financial partner for the relationship, the Relationship Manager is accountable for prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships (must have a proven track record).
• Ability to engage in dialogue at the CEO and CFO levels regarding the client’s industry and alternative capital structures.
• Responsible for leading, directing and coordinating key team members in analysis and execution in the effective delivery of their products and services to clients and prospects.
• Assess the risks and impacts from both the clients and banks perspective for development and implementation of an overall client strategy.
• Proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings.
• Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of a middle market relationship and Healthcare industry trends.
• Negotiate loan documents upon credit approval that are in accordance with bank and division policy.
• Meet with clients and prospects regularly including attending bank meetings and conducting site visits.
• Manages the ongoing credit risk of a portfolio of healthcare clients and participates in portfolio meetings with senior management.
• Work with Loan Operations and Treasury Management to set up accounts in accordance with credit and division policy to the satisfaction of the client.
• Ensure ongoing client satisfaction through managing both the loan structure and customer interface with the Healthcare Division, bank partners, and support functions of the bank.
• Develop and maintain internal relationships following established processes and procedures.
• Continue education of the healthcare industry including regulatory, reimbursement and transactional changes and trends. Attend industry conferences and client meetings. Shares information articulately and clearly in written and oral forms.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities of bank offerings, products and services to clients and prospects.
• Understand all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.

Requirements Job Requirements:
Bachelors required. Masters preferred.
6-8 years of directly related experience required. 8-10 years preferred.
Possess an understanding of the current business environment; superior credit knowledge; expertise in credit policy and analytical abilities; Goal and production oriented; strong relationship building skills; ability to take initiative using strong problem solving skills; knowledge level to be an independent resource on credit issues.
