Job Description

This position can sit in Memphis or Knoxville, TN; Charlotte or Raleigh, NC.

As a member of the Enterprise Testing team, the applicant will be responsible for coordinating QA and UA testing functions that support a variety of platforms within a financial sector at First Tennessee. The Test Lead will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that testing plans and schedules align with the overall defined goals of the bank. The Test Lead will play a crucial role in developing & managing the test strategy for new products and businesses around emerging technologies. This person will need the ability to bring rigor to ambiguous requirements, communicate effectively across one or more matrixed teams, ensure that identified defects are fixed and help to creatively problem solve any issues or defects found.

Functional Areas: Commercial and Treasury Services

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reviews business requirements and functional specifications to understand the functional and technical requirements.
• Assist in the development of user acceptance test plans by analyzing business requirements and engaging with project team members and subject matter experts as necessary.
• Manages user acceptance testing process with business users, identifying the testing team and setting up a testing schedule.
• Tests functionality alongside business subject matter experts and on own in order to test the delivered functionality in real-world scenarios.
• Tracks issues uncovered during testing.
• Collaborates with onshore and offshore development teams to address issues found during QA & UAT, and validates that corrective actions taken by development resolve those issues.
• Supports activities throughout the software development life cycle.
• Communicates status of QA &UAT activities to project teams and IT and business leadership.
• Collaborates with and supports IT business analysts and business representatives during the requirements definition process.
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
• Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as coordinate testing with outside contract testers.

Requirements Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 plus years of banking industry experience and 2 years of IT experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of current banking technologies
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills, basic project management skills and presentations skills
• Familiarity with testing Business Rules to create positive and negative test cases
• Ability to translate scope and business rules into test cases/scripts
• Understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
• Familiar with bank regulations
• Strong interpersonal skills - the role requires interaction with many stakeholders. Must have cross functional and cross-cultural awareness, and ability to work in a fluid matrixed environment.
• Strong team management skills, capable of managing a team of 2 - 4 testers and a wide group of business end users.

Days: Monday-Friday; Hours: 8am-5pm
