Treasury Management (TM) Services is dedicated to engaging our Wholesale, Specialty and Retail Business Banking Clients and offering solutions through a suite of deposit, digital, mobile and paper based products and services. These capabilities create efficiencies, controls, visibility and returns for the clients and enhance relationships and create mutual returns.
Position Overview:
As a member of the TM Services Senior Management team, the Deposit, Pricing and Profitability Leader is accountable for:
• The setting of the plan and overall financial performance and management of the Commercial Deposit Portfolio
• The strategies, emphasis and execution of the Deposit Growth effort
• The TM Pricing processes, guidelines, tools and decision guidance used to insure our Treasury Management pricing execution is sound to allow retention, growth and profitability.
The position is vital to TM team performance due to the critical nature of the deposit and pricing execution in the midst of a dynamic rising rate environment.
The Deposit, Pricing and Profitability Leader (and the assigned Team) has responsibility for overseeing the performance of the Wholesale Deposits portfolio. The Leader and their Team is charged with the coordination and finalization of the Wholesale Deposit forecast (in conjunction with Corporate Treasury) and managing the performance optics and metrics vs prior years and versus forecast. Team is charged with running monthly Wholesale Deposit performance governance meetings and publishing findings and recommendations. The role is responsible for maintenance of the rate management guidelines and insuring that Exec Leaders understand the strategy and execution plans for how the Deposits portfolio is managed and optimized. He/she will engage executive leadership and sales teams across the organization with emphasis on strategy, training, communication and influencing to ensure deposit goals are achieved.
This role is responsible for reviewing market research, analysis of competitive and market forces, ongoing critical assessment of internal opportunities/challenges, and providing input to the development of needed new products. The position is closely tied and fully aware of our Corporate Treasury funding needs in partnership with Bank Treasurer and CFO and also tied to market and LOB opportunities to grow share and revenues. The position requires strong analytical skills, working knowledge of economics and short-term fixed income markets, collaborative work style and ability to interface with both executives and peers across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership to the deposit and pricing team overseeing all aspects of Commercial Deposits and TM pricing. This includes directly supervising staff, coaching, mentoring, teaching and conducting performance reviews.
• Develop strategies (rates, product gaps, marketing, and sales) that mitigates attrition, optimizes profitability and drives growth for deposits in support of business strategy, funding plan, and key bank metrics.
• Support execution of TM pricing coordination including recommendation of needed pricing analytics, pricing policy maintenance/execution, trend analysis, etc.
• Present proactively to LOB partners on deposit strategy and guidelines; present the view on bank funding, deposit rates, market rates, and deposit-related financial performance metrics.
• Manage the Deposit Specialist teammates that is in the markets and provide the guidance, expertise and insights to internal partners as well as clients and are involved in the delivery of leading Deposit and Liquidity “pitches”
• Understand industry participants, broader competitive environment, and new/existing products offered by the industry.
• Oversee development and maintenance of competitive analysis data related to product, pricing and sales strategies; including, development of feedback loop with sales partners to obtain additional competitive insights.
• Act as a key leader in repricing projects for all TM products and services, including tracking revenue realization
• Be solid collaborator with Operations, Technology services, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, Corporate Treasury, TM Onboarding, TM Product and Sales management to ensure that team is properly partnering and communicating
• Partner and collaborate with Finance, Corporate Treasury, TM Product and TM and Market Sales management to review deposit growth/attrition, rates, competitive environment, and execution of deposit strategy.

Requirements Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics
• Proven track record of developing and driving deposit and pricing initiatives from start to finish.
• Strong analytics, strategic thinking and working knowledge of deposits/TM services
• Proven ability to interact and influence executive management, as well as excellent presentation abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility with functional and regional leaders
• Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

Additional Qualifications Considered:
• 8+ years of progressively responsible product management experience (including 5+ years specifically related to commercial deposits)
• Masters of Business Administration
• CTP accredited
