Job Description

The Wealth Services Consultant, under general supervision, helps financial advisors and their staff become more effective and efficient by using the available wealth management tools and processes, delivers training initiatives by learning new systems and processes, and researches and resolves simple and complex issues that aclient and/or financial advisor may have.

Additionally this position will:

  • Educates advisors of best practices to implement within their teams and help them adopt and implement practice management by using the tools available at the firm
  • Helps advisors establish client processes using available tools to enhance the client experience and makes independent recommendations based on the advisors book of business, products, experience and AUM
  • Handles incoming calls from advisors, client specialists for help with our systems, process and practice management.
  • Completes trade corrections
  • Handles incoming calls from clients for help with online access, account questions, money movements and accepting clients trade instructions clients whose advisors are not available
  • Processes internal client account paperwork and back office processing
  • Identifies issues discovered through internal reporting and/ or advisors and clients as they develop and follows up with issue until resolved
  • Assists facilitating, coordinating, and executing training activities including training new employees and increasing knowledge of current employees
  • Assists in implementing training strategies developed by Training Manager, senior management, advisors, and third party vendors
  • Ensures adherence to operating policies and procedures
  • Supports a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and collaboration and consistency of process, is viewed as approachable by team members, and is willing to share knowledge with others
  • Maintains a focus on delivering an outstanding client experience while exercising confidentially at all times
  • Interacts extensively with financial advisors and their teams and with external clients
  • Assists in all support activities delivered by Training Manager and vendors
  • Assists with on-demand questions via phone and email by helping internal/external clients understand the technology and services available at the firm
  • Assists employees by consistently delivering education about technology enhancements, by sharing advisors’ best practices leading to increased production and efficiency, and by helping our firm and advisors navigate through the ever-changing regulatory environment
  • Supports training initiatives through a host of avenues including WebEx, conference calls, Skype meetings, and self-study training material
  • Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels

Job requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent in work experience)

•Basic understanding of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial industry and markets, banking, and financial planning

•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

•Currently holds FINRA licenses Series 7 and 63 or 66 (or successful completion of all licenses within 6 months of employment)

•1-2 years of sales and/or broker/dealer or practice management experience

•Excellent oral and written communication skills

•Self starter, proactive, flexible, and accommodating

•Team player with good interpersonal skills who is able to work collaboratively across departments

•Ability to coordinate with others, set and achieve goals, and resolve problems while maintaining a strong sense of teamwork
