The Workforce Management Strategy Leader will lead the Consumer Bank’s workforce management program. Leading this program includes: long-term strategic planning, forecasting, capacity studies and determining appropriate gearing ratios to maximize productivity (growth) and execution of initiatives. The leader will create and report metrics to inform the Consumer Bank on progress toward achieving the strategic roadmap in terms of workforce levels and productivity.
In close partnership with functional support teams and front-line business leaders, Workforce Management Strategy Consultant will lead the critical thinking, capacity planning, forecasting and scheduling for the current and future state of the First Horizon consumer bank. The position will be responsible for creating and evolving a data-intensive approach to define the necessary staffing models and roles needed, based on historical and forecasted trends of customer expectations and business priorities. This position will be responsible for using the data to optimize staffing models and roles against defined market potential and setting the roadmap for the consumer bank personnel to most advantageously align with growth opportunity. The strategic mindset will be to balance the reduction of personnel cost while protecting the brand and increasing productivity. In addition, this role will drive the strategic thinking for how First Horizon evolves the multiple delivery channels into one customer and employee experience.
■ Executes and continually improves analytics processes and programs to support the optimization of FTB/CB retail workforce
■ Collects and interprets data to identify high-potential and necessary staffing levels to align with the optimized branch network and desire for an elite customer experience
■ Develops predictive models that highlights the most advantageous staffing levels (sales and service) in trade areas where FTB/CB competes
■ Prioritizes the right projects and ensures that benefits are being fully realized throughout the Retail Branch Channel.
■ Supports and/or leads project teams with skills in process excellence, facilitation, and problem solving, accelerating transformation and value creation to achieve desired outcomes.
■ Successfully and regularly manages multiple initiatives simultaneously.
■ Identifies world-class workforce and staffing models across industries for next practices.
■ Acquires and maintains field intelligence on competitor activities and workforce capabilities
■ Ensures accountability and enables the predictability of outcomes for each transformation initiative
■ Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
■ Develops strong relationships with Retail teammates and workforce support partners, in pursuit of common organizational goals.
Requirements ■ Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or Technology required; MBA preferred
■ Minimum Experience: Must include at least 5+ years of retail branch experience with experience in process and project-oriented operational or retail administration roles a plus
■ Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- In-depth workforce management business knowledge
- Proven experience and track record for successfully delivering large-scale transformational programs
- Ability to manage multiple complex and competing priorities without express authority over delivery teams
- Ability to network within and outside of the bank to develop mutually beneficial relationships
- Analytical skills, the ability to be detail oriented, and the ability to assess information and form logical evaluations
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop and present information, displaying sound and mature business acumen
- Proficiency with MS Office software package
■ Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- MBA or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methods
